Vehicle Balancing.
Vehicle balancing is the worst its ever been. EA is fueling a COD-like main character syndrome where you should be able to destroy any vehicle regardless of playtime for said vehicle main, without having to adapt.
The newest example of this are the newly updated IFV/Tanks.
Passive Health Regeneration Nerfs
Delay Reset on Firing: Firing any IFV or tank weapon now completely resets the passive regeneration delay. Doing so instantly reapplies the full 12-second delay before auto-regen can start up again.
Longer Regen Time: The time required to passively regenerate from a critical state back to full health has been increased to 8 seconds (up from 7 seconds for IFVs).
Damage & Armor Changes
Directional Rear Hits: Tank and IFV rear damage angles have been specified so that any hits landing cleanly in the rear quadrant between 86 and 94 degrees deal a massive 2.5x damage multiplier.
Turret & Hull Deflections: Any projectile hits on the turret or hull coming in above a 50-degree angle will default to side-hit damage calculations.
These are the official numbers.
And my question is, why? Why are we making vehicles that were already easy to kill, even worse? To appeal to a casual, near non existent player base that thinks you should be able to shred vehicles with lackluster communication and a simple rocket launcher?
If you hate vehicles, then stop crying about them on forums. Its ruining the experience for people like me, and the rest of the loyal, real player base that play conquest. Go play a different game if you hate vehicles, or the million modes that have pure infantry.
EA, Please stop ruining vehicles. Advertise infantry modes to get the people that hate vehicles out of our lobbies. You are ruining a gameplay mechanic that defined your franchise for decades. I am finding it hard to continue playing when you are actively balancing your game against people like us. And note, I don't even care to play ground vehicles. I am mainly infantry/Piloting, and even I CAN SEE how terribly balanced ground vehicles are.
