Weapon balance in this game is horrific, balance around calibers not random BS

Title. Make the balance around calibers with common sense. Some weapons have zero upsides like the M27. Does less damage than other 5.56 rifles... has more recoil, moderate rate of fire, slow reload. Its objectively worse than almost all other 5.56 rifles and there is no reason to use it.

Just balance around caliber so you don't have incoherent, randomized, and unusable weapons.
