Played about 20 games today and had two back to back games with obvious Aimbotters with ridiculous K/D’s. Reported both players. I hope they are only allowed to cheat for a couple more days because Javelin is acquiring data on them before the ban. If not it’s going to be a horrible experience just like all their other titles.
With how they handled the Cronus situation I had high hopes for their new anti cheat, so we will have to wait and see.
I tried to post about this on Reddit and was instantly modded into oblivion, post removed and ability to comment temporarily revoked. Wonder if that will happen here?
Companies for the last decade or more have been fighting a losing battle. Until they actually drop significant resources in combatting cheating it they will never win. There was talk about a company working on AI/fingerprinting for cheat detection ages ago but I've not heard anything since.
All I see from companies these days is "Look we have this new advanced anti-cheat system named <INSERT FLASHY NAME HERE>" >> gets hacked day one. Why waste money on a problem when you can just make out like your doing something and post about your "recent ban wave".
People have no idea how prevalent hacking really is in shooters now. It's been mention that up to 80-90% of high level Apex players use at least Cronus or Xims. The ESP is blatant in BF6 and goes way beyond spotting, drones, lasers or recon UAV. And Tarkov? It was already shown recently that hackers are ultra present in that game.
The likes of EA and other companies are just doing damage control and optics to make us seem like there is no problem and their anti-cheats work but in reality there's hackers in most lobbies these days.
It's not EA's fault or any shooter developer it's the cheaters. They have ruined the genre and continue to bring it to it's knees.
Honestly as big as gaming has gotten and the money involved in it I think there should be much harsher punishments. Hell do what some Asia countries do and making competitive game hacking illegal.
I play on PC and i've only had, at most, 4 games out of a couple hundred that may/probably had a cheater. One of those I think there were 2. So at most 5 cheaters out of thousands of opponents.
Dont forget that there are freaks out there. My bro's mouse is so sensitive i cant even select the menu without getting frustrated. That dude goes 40+ kills and less than 10 deaths on a 'tough match.'
Also, Console only cross play isnt in the game? I thought it was, I may be mistaken.
Get out of here with that nonsense about "PCs are becoming the death of online gaming"! I play on PC and I don't cheat, nor do I condone cheating! Only losers cheat! And you know darn well there are losers cheating on all platforms, including your precious console! 🙄And controllers are what most of these losers are using because the cheats are hard to detect. If ANYTHING is killing online gaming, especially FPS games, it's controllers! Even legit controllers with all the cheap artificial assisting (aim assist, snap aim, less recoil, and whatever else) is ruining FPS games. You're being handheld in your games on controller. And when that nonsense is allowed amongst all of us, it's no longer fair play. Regardless of how strong or weak it is. I don't care that you controller users have it, but I should not be forced to play against it, ruining my gaming fun at times. Just as you should not be forced to play against us PC players if you do not want to. This is why a lot of us have been asking for a toggle to turn off cross-play and for an input-based matchmaking option. I do very well in BF, but I still don't like playing against consoles and controllers for the very reasons I mentioned above. Battlefield was a heck of a lot more enjoyable without cross-play and controllers in the mix. Controllers are a cancer in FPS gaming!
A match from a few days ago. I left the match early, so I don't know how many kills/deaths he/she ended up with. And I see these ridiculous controller scores often, yet some say controllers can't compete with M&K players. Who knows, maybe he/she was cheating. I've blurred the player names to protect their identity. And again, I see scores like this all the time. And these aren't bot filled matches. This is against real players on the Empire State map.
Exactly why i turn off crossplay we all know they cant tackle the cheating problem pc,s are becoming the death of online gaming. Ea need console only crossplay and that would be great for us console players. And stop spinning the bs that it will take ages to find a game because i dont have a problem with finding a lobby with just ps5 players.
You might not remember this, but back when Valve's Steam only hosted Valve games; If you caught a VAC Ban, Valve banned your whole steam account. Didn't matter if your account was worth $1 or $1000. But I think someone sued and they had to change the policy. I wish more companies did that; Cheat on EA Platform ALL of your EA Platformed games are gone.
game is legit infested with bugs/exploiters/cheaters.
This anti-cheat sucks and the in-game exploits allowing people to access locations you aren't supposed to be able to get to is out of control, I hope all these losers get banned.
The anti cheat has been putting in the work actually, if you check out elitepvp's Battlefield 6 thread on cheat providers, only a single one as of time of this comment is undetected, the rest is detected or uncertain.
No anti cheat is going to be perfect, but as far as a new release go, 11 days into the game's life cycle is pretty good.
