Personally, I think the weapon balancing is all wrong in BF6.
Heavy emphasis seems to have been put on auto weapons. A lot of them have next to no recoil and can effectively snipe people way beyond their intended usage ranges.
SMG’s, LMG’s, AR’s and carbines all encroach on the DMR and bolt action effective ranges and this is wrong.
Weapons should be made to be effective ONLY within their ideal operating ranges.
The above autos should NOT be as accurate as they are.
Spread and/ or recoil should be so bad beyond a weapons intended range that it discourages people from using them to engage people at distances outside of their intended ranges.
At the moment, there is almost no point running a DMR when it can be outgunned by an auto weapon at range because the auto weapon has no recoil, high accuracy and stupidly high rates of fire.
Regarding close quarters gunplay.. it’s frankly horrible.
The netcode and TTD have a lot to do with this. It’s just instant death when you’re hit by any auto weapon. It doesn’t feel fun to play.

I have noticed the exact same thing, weapon balance is an absolute joke. Once again full auto guns are far too effective, but this seems to be the case in most popular FPS games, I think they're doing it on purpose.
