When should I buy the Phantom edition?
I want to buy the Phantom edition.
But rumor has it that BF2042 has half discount after one month. I don't know whether its true.
If I can save half of money, I can wait for one month.

If you expect BF 6 to fail at start like BF2042, you should wait.
Otherwise, you will have to wait longer until first price reduction.Thank you. I have played almost all the new PC games in 2025. I think BF6 is the best game in 2025.
I have just bought BF2042. I think that BF2042 is not bad. But the BF2042's positive rate on steam is very low.
Battlefield 2042 launched to widespread criticism, as evidenced by its low ratings. Fundamental issues like hit registration, movement mechanics, and map design were broadly condemned, with reviews and videos readily available online. The Portal mode, touted as a revolutionary customizable experience where players could “play their way,” fell short when XP farming prompted restrictions on XP and unlocks, frustrating many. These problems, alongside subpar maps (which were later reworked) and technical flaws, led to a sharp decline in player base and the games price dropping instantly.
To ensure Battlefield 6’s success, DICE should heed community input over input from new developers or non-fan streamers. BF2042’s bid to satisfy every FPS audience ultimately backfired. Scrapping Battle Royale experiments and refocusing on the series’ core roots would be a welcome return.
