Why does the chat box constantly get stuck and force me to scroll?

Consistently the chatbox will remain stuck in one spot and not show me the most recent things people have been saying in chat, forcing me to open it and click and scroll through it. Baffling design decision! Why did the chatboxes of 12 years ago work better?

It’s been like that since launch and feels like a leftover UI bug from an older build. You’re right though BF3/BF4 had smoother chat systems years ago. Hopefully they patch it, because it’s one of those small things that shouldn’t still be a problem in 2025. Scroll all the way down to the latest message, it sometimes fixes it.
