Why is there a timer??

I had joined a conquest round on Mirak Valley and was having fun playing support and taking flags. Suddenly when it was about 450 to 200, the game introduced an arbitrary 60 second timer??? Which ended the match prematurely?

What the actual HECK is this, Battlefield?? What on god's earth made you think this was necessary. I have never in my years of playing Battlefield (since BF1) encountered such an unnecessary feature. It's completely needless. Just let the conquest game play out naturally! Why does it need to wrap up within a specific period? Ridiculous.

Please remove the timer. It shouldn't have been there in the first place.
