I’m all for input-based matchmaking.
With next-gen hardware, there’s really no reason players shouldn’t have the freedom to choose their input method across console and PC. Many PC players (including streamers) are already using controllers, so the line is blurred anyway.
That said, I do think companies can strike a balance, creating a crossplay experience that’s fair for everyone. Personally, I’d love to play with friends who prefer controllers, but I also get that some players want to stick to controller-only or MnK-only lobbies.
Let’s see how the Beta performs. I don’t use a controller myself, so I’ll be relying on feedback from those who do to access the experience and aim assist.

There already is a popular thread on this, it seems they have already added support for console KBM according to the Xbox store capabilities for battlefield 6. Will have to check though during open beta.

Thanks for the info! That’s great to hear — I’ll definitely check it out during the open beta. Hopefully the KBM support works well on console, it’s something many of us have been waiting for. Appreciate the update!

If they don't allow it they will lose alot of players that will just stick to CoD, would be a BIG miss. Don't listen to what some here say it makes zero sense to have anything against the support on console since you play with pc players and you can do input based matchmaking.

Well, apparently there is good news, in the technical sheet of BF6 on Xbox Series it says that it will be compatible with keyboard and mouse

I'm glad devs are encouraging M&K adoption for console. Funny enough I swap between M&K and controller for certain vehicles while gaming on PC.

Where did you see this confirmed?

There’s mouse and keyboard settings in the PS5 version, so that’s definitely supported.
