Yes it was horrible and the worst was they made us do things while freezing to finish assignments. It's the worst kind of thing to ask the player to play WRONG to finish assignments.
Stuff like capture objectives while freezing, revive teammates while freezing etc. SHOULD NEVER BE A THING. What is next, do headshots with a revolver while burning, while capturing objectives? This is the "JUMP THROUGH HOOP" stuff that should never be a thing. They should never force us to play something in a wrong way, only to get the rare coincidence to finish these horrible assignments.
What the assignments should do, is to make the players play objectives and nothing else. It's really that simple, the teamplay would go way up etc. but nope.

This is exactly my problem with a lot of the assignment designs
All those "X in a round/life" "kills from X range", "Kills/revives/caps at a certain state"There are really like 4 things that we should be getting as assignments without any twists and modifiers: Raw Revives, healing, resupplying, spotting and repairing. Because these are the behaviors that ought to be encouraged instead of jumping through (like you correctly said) flaming hoops.
Objective play should also be encouraged, the weekly 10 point assignment that was about objectives, M-coms etc (and allowed you to pick your preferred mode) was a good one.- Mexicola93022 days agoNew Scout
Imagine what would happen if they had weather effects or actual permanent seasons and different times of day ingame. They could ask us to do a melee kill at rain at midnight while full moon and there has to a be a hurricane in the background that you are affected by. They could come up with even more stupid annoying assignments. I shouldn't give them any ideas lol. :D
