I got really hyped and nearly bought BF6 on Xbox, until I found out I can’t play with Xbox players only. I'd have to disable crossplay entirely in the settings, which means matchmaking would take forever. So yeah, until EA patches this or confirms a proper platform-only filter, I’m not buying BF6. Another classic EA move. If you don’t want my money, that’s your choice. Am I salty? Maybe 10 percent. But it’s 100 percent justified.
Where did you hear that you can't play with Xbox players only? The last I heard, a "Console Only" crossplay wasn't available, meaning PS5 and Xbox players won't get to play together unless they have crossplay on.
Even with crossplay on, consoles will be matched with consoles as a priority where possible.
Turning crossplay off will match you with Xbox players only.
The "preferred crossplay" is not working whatsoever. I'm on xbox and every single game is mostly PC players in my lobby, and there are more than enough console players for the system to make a console only server, as it was advertised to do. It's just not functioning, if it ever was supposed to.
