4 crashes today, this is the norm

I bought the game on Steam several months ago and for about the past three weeks the game crashes all the time.

I have turned off online status and have tried to launch the game without starting up Steam but it launches automatically.

Steam doesn't seem to care and points me to EA and Battlefield.

At this point the game is unplayable.  Are there any solutions for people that bought it through Steam?
