Aim snapping left - stick drift bug.

Persistent, almost game breaking bug which makes the aim jump to the left with or without any right stick input (PS5). This happens on both campaign and multiplayer. The aim will constantly pull to the left, most often by a few degrees but can periodically snap the aim upto 90-180 degrees when walking or sprinting. This bug is persistent throughout the whole duration of each match, on every match played, happening every few seconds. Aiming down sights decreases the angle of this jump but is still significant and makes hitting targets extremely difficult, especially noticeable when operating tanks or sniping, it feels like the aim is fighting the control input and overcompensating, which makes accurate shots impossible. When aimed down sights, even very small and slow adjustments will cause the aim to jump left, i can slowly and delicately aim right but the aim will still snap left.

I have spent a lot of time adjusting and experimenting with all of the control settings and can not find a sensible solution. The only method of eliminating it is to turn the right stick deadzone to 99 and decrease the infantry aim sensitivity to 0, which makes it realistically impossible to play. When the deadzone and sensitivity is set well enough to play, the aim will snap left at the same interval and to the same extent regardless of how the deadzone or sensitivity is set thereafter (a deadzone of 0 and sensitivity of 75 will have the same extent and rate of aim snapping left as if it were set to a deadzone of 50 and sensitivity of 30) meaning something is definitely not obeying the settings.

This has been an issue since the game was downloaded, along with the spawn screen map having an issue where the cursor would be on the top left of the screen. Since the first update, the spawn screen cursor seems to be resolved but it appears that the right stick aiming bug has become worse. I have checked connection to rule this out, my controller is not the issue either and i do not experience anything like this on any other titles including previous BF entries. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but this issue is still there. I have seen other users mention this exact same issue, so it is not an isolated example.

This is seriously negatively impacting what  I would consider a great game, it is borderline unplayable with this problem.

  • I am experiencing the exact same issues on my PS5. I dodn't notice this at launch, but for the past few days, the gamebecame unplayable.

I will sadly have to wait for the next bug fix update, before I may enjoy the game...

  • My PS5 controller did something similar in 2042 and other games, the stick drift comes and goes which makes me think it's a software issue from Sony, hopefully you get it ironed out.

  • Is there any update to this? The game is absolutely unplayable, and every time I bring this up I get told that I have a broken controller. I feel like I’m going insane but clearly there are other people dealing with this. I have to imagine it’s not all PS5 users otherwise people would be rioting, but what on Earth is going on? I’ve never seen this in any other games, the beta and initial release worked fine.
