Hi everyone,
We’re looking to gather more information about the “Account Restricted” error some players are encountering. It appears that this can occur in two different scenarios, both related to missing or potentially corrupted entitlements on the platform where the error occurs.
Scenario 1 - Console + EA app
This scenario involves accounts that own the game on console and also play via the EA App.
Scenario 2 - EA app + Steam (REDSEC)
In this scenario, players may own the base game on the EA app and have REDSEC registered on Steam.
What we need more clarity on is which platform is showing the restriction in this case, as reports differ (e.g., the base game on the EA app is restricted, while REDSEC is working on Steam, or vice versa).

To help us better understand Scenario 2, please share the following details if you are experiencing the error:
- Which platform(s) do you own the base game on
- Which platform did you register REDSEC on
- Which platform shows the “Account Restricted” message
- Whether the other platform still works normally
- Roughly when you first saw the issue

You can continue earning progress on whichever platform is not restricted, and that progress will still count.

- I own the game on PS5 and downloaded Red Sec from the EA Play app on PC.
- PS5 version works fine. No restriction. EA Play says account restricted.
- I then bought the full game on EA Play on my 2nd account so I had the Full version on PC and deleted Red Sec on OC and re-installed the FULL game on 2nd account.
- I then tried to use my account to Log in via EA Play and play the full game using my main 1st account so with all my progress and it still says 'Account Restricted' on PC. On my main Moonswan account.
- To clarify, the 2nd EA account I bought BF6 again on PC for works fine. Signing into the 1st account that I use on PS5 and is my primary 'Moonswan' EA account is restricted on PC but not on PS5 where I also purchased the game.
- Come on guys this has gone on forever since release and you still have not worked it out!
