Battlefield 6 aircraft bug

When trying to do a challenge involving shooting down aircraft. The game only counts 10% of the time. I’ve been shooting down helicopters for hours with no progress. The game doesn’t count it unless it explodes mid air when it is marked that an assist also counts.
