With the amount of posts online in multiple different places, EA has to be actively ignoring this problem. Its affecting a lot of people. I've been trying to fix this for over 2 weeks now and EA is doing absolutely nothing. I finally managed to get a manual refund from steam well after the normal time period. I recommend everyone else spam steam with refund requests and maybe they will ask EA what the hell is going on. Heres how I did it
You click "help" on the top of steam and then "steam support". From there, instead of clicking on battlefield 6, scroll down and go to "purchases". Then choose "battlefield 6" and click "I have a question about this purchase". It will let you type out a custom message to steam support. In it, make sure to explain in detail the issue and that you are auto rejected by the system. Here is the message I sent and it got me my refund:
Hello,
I need help with a manual refund for Battlefield 6. It is completely unplayable and the EA devs are showing zero sign of fixing the issue.
The game is auto connecting me to servers across the world with no way of switching to closer ones which makes the game absolutely unplayable. I can only move in slow motion and getting kills is near impossible.
I submitted a refund request through the steam system but it got auto rejected because my play time was over 2 hours. However, the vast majority of my play time was trying to fix the game and make it playable with zero luck.
I spent $70 on this game and the fact that its unplayable is unacceptable. I understand I went over the usual time period, but I dont think I should be penalized for trying to make the game I just bought work especially since I couldn't find a fix.
Could I get a refund for this issue or be directed to the correct place that is not the automated system to get this issue addressed?
Good luck
