ISSUE: High ping in game 100+, Lag.
SUMMARIZE BUG: Been having trouble with high ping and lag since launch, for some reason i get routed to Santiago Common Tenancy instead of Dallas Tenancy ( Am from Northern Mexico, so Dallas is the nearest Tenancy for me).
Orange icons on all maps but larger ones gives the most latency and ping issue, making the game unplayable.
This only happens with Battlefield 6 ( other games ping/latency is fine, 25-30 ms ping and no Lag )
MAP AND MODES : All maps and modes.

Thank you for your help and hope you can fix this issue for the many players with the same problem.

What type of issue do you have? Lag/Latency, enemies are unkillable
Summarize your bug:Latency is killing the game—literally. Players with 16ms ping are walking gods while the rest of us with 40ms+ are stuck watching bullets phase through enemies like it’s a bad sci-fi movie. It’s not skill—it’s server proximity.
Players located near server hubs consistently benefit from ultra-low latency (e.g., 16ms), while others—like myself—are forced to play with 40ms+ latency, despite having high-end gaming setups and 1Gb symmetric internet. This isn’t a hardware or ISP issue. It’s a server placement and matchmaking flaw.
The result? Hit registration favors low-latency players. They’re effectively unkillable in close-quarters combat, while the rest of us are stuck watching our shots fail to register. This is not a skill gap—it’s a geographic penalty.
What needs to change:
Implement latency-based matchmaking or compensation mechanics.
Expand server coverage to underserved regions.
Offer transparency on server locations and latency thresholds.
Prioritize fair play over proximity-based advantage.I’m not looking for generic support replies. I want feedback from your networking engineers—people who understand tick rates, latency compensation, and server load balancing. This issue is driving away loyal players who expect a level playing field.
And here’s the kicker: how is it even possible that we’re matched with players from entirely different regions—APAC, EMEA—who are sitting at 250–300ms ping? Or the opposite: players with 10ms ping who feel like they’re running on a local LAN while the rest of us are stuck in molasses. Their bullets register instantly. Ours? Might as well be blanks. One shot from them and you’re done. It’s not just frustrating—it’s demoralizing.

eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com public DNS name for an Amazon EC2 instance hosted in the EU (Ireland) region.
awsglobalaccelerator.com DNS name for an endpoint managed by AWS Global Accelerator It routes user traffic through the AWS edge network to the optimal regional endpoint.I'm currently connecting from Mexico, but I’ve noticed that traffic is being routed through Virginia or Ireland—even with AWS Global Accelerator in place. This setup introduces noticeable latency, which defeats the purpose of using the accelerator for low-latency optimization. Is there a way to ensure traffic is routed through a closer edge location or regional endpoint to improve performance?

What type of issue do you have? Smaller game modes like TDMs, Domination, King of the Hill and Rush are playable and all the game modes on Portal/Community servers work fine but when I want to play Conquest, Escalation or Breakthrough on official servers, it's unplayable because of the problems I listed. When I get a kill I get it 2 seconds later . It's unplayable because of the problems I listed. On community servers I get consistent 120 fps and 30 ping. On previous Battlefields and other competitive FPS games my fps is perfect and I never lagged before I got BF6. In my settings it says PROD_DEFAULT-SANTIAGO-COMMON. Tried every fix possible but console players get this bug as well. Hopefully you fix this and route us to the servers or data centers in our region.
Summarize your bug: Massive Time Nudge ping exceeding 800 ping at times and huge packet loss. Players rubber banding and teleporting, gun sometimes not even firing at full auto because of the ping. Big game modes on official servers unplayable.

Date/Time Issue Began: First Open Beta Weekend and continuing through launchSummary:
Battlefield 6 keeps assigning my account to the Santiago, Chile data center. The tenancy string shown in-game is PROD_DEFAULT-SANTIAGO-COMMON. I live in Maryland, USA, and multiple lookup sites confirm my IP geolocation is US-East. Because I am routed to Santiago, every official matchmaking server I join has high latency, constant orange connection icons, rubber-banding, and severe desync. This makes the game nearly unplayable and prevents me from playing with my US friends without connection problems.Where it happens:
All official large modes, including Conquest, Breakthrough, and Escalation.Troubleshooting already done:
I verified game files in both Steam and the EA App. I cleared the EA App cache and Windows DNS cache. I flushed and renewed my IP configuration. I tested with VPNs, firewalls, and overlays disabled. I also tried different routers and networks. I reinstalled Battlefield 6 and the EA App. None of these steps changed the behavior. What I believe is wrong:
This appears to be a backend tenancy misassignment. My account is repeatedly placed into the Santiago tenant instead of a US-East tenant. My understanding is that US players near me are typically assigned to US-East or IAD tenancy.Requested action:
Please review my account’s data center tenancy and reset or reassign it to a US-East data center so matchmaking uses nearby servers. I am located in Maryland, USA, and should not be tied to Santiago, Chile.- TUBBYSEASTAR3 months agoSeasoned Adventurer

Hi,
UPDATE 3.0 FULL SOLUTION FOR ME:
- I have only one single 16gb of ram but it was put into the first slot (closest to the cpu) on the motherboard. I switched it to be in the second slot and the issue got completely solved for me.
- I am not sure which change helped, but I also changed the memory speed in my BIOS to the one my ram is capable of, which is 3200. It was previously set to a lower number, so it was not using it fully.
With thes changes, I could easily play without limiting my fps below 60.
Thanks for checking this issue out!

Date/time issue occurred? All day in large scale battle modes since launch, no matter the time of day.
What type of issue do you have? Constant rubberbanding, latency issue and packet loss icon is showing in game
Summarize your bug: Since launch, I can't play in large scale modes as my character is rubberbanding around, it is impossible to hit an enemy. I can only play in close quarter modes, I don't have any of the issues there, it is running perfectly. I bought a CAT6 ethernet cable to my 2.5G router, it is directly plugged into my PC. I am being routed to Santiago Common server. My PC specs are AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT OC 16G Triple Fan, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 16GB RAM, Corsair RM850e (2022) 850 W.
In which mode and or map has this happened? All large scale modes, all maps

Your Current Region: Hungary, EuropeUPDATE AFTER PICTURE:
I am guessing the time nudge is the problem. My fps while the picture was taken was limited to 60 and I was rubberbanding the whole game.
UPDATE 2.0:
After limiting my fps to 50, the time nudge problem seems to be better, it is not rubberbanding anymore for me all the time. Hopefully this can be solved without limiting the fps below 60, but for a temporary solution, it worked for me.

What type of issue do you have: High ping, rubber banding, Slow motion/Latency issues, Packets Loss.
Summarize your bug: Its fine in community servers but official servers get rubber bandy, like i'll see an enemy and teammates teleport back and forth so it's hard to shoot at enemies. It can also feel like hitting an invisible wall on some spots or maybe it's equal to when you lag in a game and get frozen for a bit/pulled back. It's not my internet nor my pc i can run the campaign and community servers fine.
I have troubleshooted and tried everything the community has come up with and nothing works. Unsure if it's indeed what we all suspect it is but i do see "PROD_DEFAULT-SANTIAGO-COMMON".

Date/time issue occurred? All day every day since beta.
What type of issue do you have? Lag/Latency/fps issues
Summarize your bug: Since launch, I’ve been experiencing severe ping spikes, packet loss, and lag in Battlefield 6. The game by default routes me to the Santiago Common Tenancy instead of the Dallas or other nearby U.S. data centers, even though I’m located in the southeastern United States, much closer to those regions. This causes constant high latency and packet loss icons on the top left of my screen, rubber banding, and massive time nudge ping spikes exceeding 800 ms at times. The lag makes everything feel slow and unresponsive—it’s like running in molasses. Player movement constantly rubberbands, and flying helicopters is nearly impossible because of constant teleporting and desync. Gunfire also stutters during full-auto, as if the weapon stops firing mid-burst. Sometimes bullets don’t register on enemies, and I die the instant they appear on my screen due to the delay and packet loss.
This issue only occurs in Battlefield 6. All my other games, including previous Battlefield titles and other competitive shooters, run smoothly with 25–30 ms ping and no lag. Because of this problem, I’m forced to play exclusively on community servers, 90% of which don’t offer full XP progression. Only on those servers can I consistently get around 30 ms ping and 80 FPS, while official servers—especially in larger game modes—are completely unplayable

Which console generation do you have? N/A
What is your Gamertag/PSN ID? N/A
Date/time issue occurred? 7:30pm PST, Oct. 31st (has been happening consistently since release, though)
What type of issue do you have? Extreme Lag/Latency
Summarize your bug: Lots of latency while playing in any mode/map. Other players teleport around, my character moves in slow motion, slides along the ground after a sprint, doesn't interact with vehicles, and controls become unresponsive. At the beginning of the match no issues are present, but as the match continues and more players are around, the issues worsen. There looks to be a correlation between activity in the game and these issues (explosions, lots of players moving, etc.)
In which mode and or map has this happened? Screengrab was on Liberation Peak, but this is experienced on all maps and modes.

LucasCBertoni there's a low FPS icon in the top left corner of your screenshot.
A framerate below 60fps will cause time nudge (TN) to spike and cause network lag. Fixing the low framerate issue will also fix the time nudge (TN) network lag issue.
Please post a screenshot with the FPS Performance Overlay on-screen so we can see if the low framerate issue is being causes by the CPU or GPU.
