Hello everyone,
I’m having an issue with stuttering and sudden FPS drops in Battlefield. A friend of mine and I have identical PC setups we even bought them together just before the Battlefield 6 release.
The strange part is: he can play perfectly fine, while I’m getting constant FPS drops.
The only difference between our setups is that I’m using two monitors (both via DisplayPort), while he’s using just one.
I’m running the game at 1440p like he does, but I can’t play in fullscreen mode if I do, my FPS tank completely.
I have to switch to borderless windowed mode to make the game even remotely playable.
This all started after my PC went into sleep mode while the game was still running.
When I woke it up, the whole system froze for several minutes before recovering.
Since then, the FPS drops happen randomly it can go from 170 FPS down to 4 FPS for a split second before jumping back up. It’s incredibly annoying in a fast-paced game.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
Reinstalled Battlefield completely
Reinstalled GPU drivers using DDU in Windows Safe Mode
Checked temps, background tasks, etc.
Nothing has helped so far.
If anyone has ideas or has run into something similar, I’d really appreciate your input.
Thanks in advance!
