Battlefield 6: Crash DirectX Error: DirectX Function

Hi,
Today I updated the graphics driver for my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with the update released today, 2025/11/04. Below is the exact version:

NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver V581.80

After repairing Battlefield 6, after the graphics shader compilation finished and I was finally able to access the Battlefield 6 main screen, after 1-2 minutes at most it crashed with the following error message, which you can find in the attachment.
Has anyone else encountered the same situation?
Should I downgrade the graphics driver?
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the support.

Best regards

Lots of people have been having that same problem pretty much since launch. If you Google "battlefield 6 direct x crash" you'll see a ton of posts. There are a lot of "fixes" out there, but for most people none of them work. The consensus is that it's something that needs to be patched in the game, not on the user end.

  • Master3394 in Nvidia Control Panel, open help menu, click on Debug Mode.

This will disable any overclocking and run the GPU processor and VRAM and stock speed.

There's a fix that sounds crazy but works, change your loadout from whatever it is (most see this issue with engineer) to recon and the problem goes away.
