Battlefield 6 High Ping Despite Stable Low-Latency Connection
I’m having a persistent high ping issue in Battlefield 6 on PC/Steam.
My in-game latency is always around 148–151 ms, even though my internet connection is stable. I am located in Kuwait and using Ooredoo 5G with Ethernet connection.
My network test results:
Download: around 180–450 Mbps
Upload: around 28–30 Mbps
Ping on Speedtest: 14–20 ms
Jitter: around 4 ms
Packet loss in-game: 0% in / 0% out
In Battlefield 6, the network overlay shows:
LAT: around 148–151 ms
LAT VAR: 0–6 ms
TN: around 7–17 ms
SFT: around 9 ms
PL IN: 0%
PL OUT: 0%
The issue happens even when:
- I am using Ethernet, not Wi-Fi
- Nothing else is downloading or streaming
- No other apps are using the internet
- I tested different graphics settings, including lowering graphics from Ultra
- DLSS / Reflex settings were tested
- Router settings were checked
- UPnP was enabled
- I tested both Wi-Fi and Ethernet
- I tested multiple Speedtests from PC and phone
- My router is connected to 5G n78 with good signal and no packet loss
It seems the game may be connecting me to a far server or the wrong region, because my normal internet ping is low but Battlefield 6 stays around 150 ms.
Can you please check if my account or matchmaking region is being routed incorrectly? Also, is there any way to manually select the server/data center/region in Battlefield 6?
