Update – Lowering the VRAM allocation significantly reduced the issue
After several attempts, I tested something new yesterday: I reduced the GPU’s allocated memory (VRAM) from 8 GB down to 6 GB on the Rog Ally X, and this actually improved the Time Latency / Time Nudge issue quite a lot when playing on the official 60 Hz servers.
My theory is that by reserving less system RAM for the integrated GPU, the device ends up giving more bandwidth and more available memory to the CPU, which is responsible for processing server packets and keeping up with the tick rate.
Since the Rog Ally X uses shared memory between the CPU and GPU, lowering VRAM reduces memory pressure and gives the CPU more headroom for network and simulation threads — which seems to stabilize TL noticeably.
It’s not a complete fix, but it’s a very effective temporary workaround, especially for players who only experience lag on the 60 Hz official servers.
If possible, I also recommend playing on 30 Hz community servers, where the issue almost completely disappears.
