FPS is lower after 1.1.3.0 patch

Before this latest update I was sitting comfortably at around 120fps on my mid range system. After the update it's now an unstable 80-90fps with the same settings. Along with some new stuttering, the performance seems to be deteriorating.

3080 10gb

32gb ram

5900x

Anyone else notice this?

  • o0Junglist0o I read a workaround for the stutter is to go offline in Steam Friends List.

To boost CPU gaming performance with AMD Ryzen 9 5900x. Disable Simulations Multithreading (SMT) in motherboard BIOS and also remove the user.cfg if you have one.

This should lower memory latency on the dual CCD Ryzen 9 5900x CPU.

Having two CCDs can improve multi-core performance but sometimes introduces complexities for gaming due to potential latency between the two CCD dies.

If I don't reply to your post then personal message me. Sometimes the forum fails to notify me when someone replies.

  • Also. all of sudden, last update auto capped menu fps, that made firing range capped too.
Disregard that, if it is not the issue.

  • Im on a 5900x aswell and this update ruined the games performance for all of us, even my brother who surprisingly didnt have an issue until this update. Its unrelated to the steam issue other people are having, its a netcode/latency problem on bf6’s side. I found a few fixes i posted, ill copy paste them here. Basically you can reduce the frequency of the stutters but they wont go away until EA fixes this garbage code. I wouldnt get your hopes up, they seem to have forgetten about us AMD users not being able to play

  • I had the same problem, its your cpu. My specs: Ryzen 5900x, zotac rtx 3060 12gb vram, 32gb ddr4 3200 mhz (2x16gb gskil), asrock b450m mobo, 1tb nvme ssd, 650w psu. Make sure you have your windows power plan set to performance, same with your gpu in the app. Then make a User.cfg file with these lines ONLY, in the notepad app

    Thread.ProcessorCount 6 Thread.MaxProcessorCount 6 Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0 Thread.JobThreadPriority 0 GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12

save the file as “User.cfg” inside your bf6 folder where the executable file is located. Make sure you set to all files an not just text documents right below where you name it. This will isolate the game to half your cpu (dont worry anticheat, ea, steam, and windows will take up plenty of cpu on your back ccd).
Then install process lasso, set ea anticheat and bf6 to your front ccd under cpu affinity and put them on high priority.  Youll only see them while theyre open. This will make your cpu spikes happen every 5-10 min instead of every 20 seconds. Makes it alot more playable. I have a few more tweaks if you actually do these and want more. It wont be fully resolved until EA fixes whatever latency/cpu scheduling error they are facing. Its everyone with a higher end ryzen its not just you
