Battlefield 6 seemingly broke my computer

After installing the latest BF6 update I had to do a restart. After the restart I have no access to internet, speakers etc. My monitor settings defaulted. In Services.msc everything is disabled with no option to re-enable it.

I have tried a restore point, it failed. I have tried reset this pc, it failed. Restarts and shutdowns have no effect. Windows tried updating, it failed and undid it.

I can access my computer no problem I just can't seemingly use any services or drivers.

I'm starting to get a bit desperate. I'd rather not reinstall windows or reset my pc (even though I tried it). Is there anything I can do?

  • It is highly unlikely the game did all that. You have something else going on with your PC, as the failed restore point suggests.

It's not the game that did it itself it's the javelin anti cheat that requires kernel level access. It must have failed during the reboot process worming into my computer.

As mentioned, if you have a failed restore point, it's not because of this game including the anti-cheat. Submitting a ticket (via the bugs subforum) likely won't do you much good, but have at it.
