Forum Discussion
I click launch to start the game. It does its thing. Then it goes to a black screen like normal in the top left of my screen. Then bam back to EA app. Ive tried everything suggested in forums. Ive turned off all overlays. Repaired the files. Ive even done a whole new fresh install and still does it. Cleared cache u name it ive done it. Im lost at this point and severly irritated with the AI support bot for EA HELP. I personally dont think its smarter than a rock honestly.
I have a full AMD build. Played on the new drivers on the 20th. No problem at all. Just did a driver roll back on my GPU and it still wont work. Ive attached a file for a crash it has logged but I cant read it.

Hi, thanks for providing all of those details. Since you've already completed the common steps, could you check a few things for us?
- Run EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe from your Battlefield 6 installation folder and select Repair.
- Rename (or temporarily delete) your Documents\Battlefield 6 folder so the game creates a fresh configuration on the next launch.
- Since you're on Windows 11, confirm Secure Boot is enabled, and that you have the news BIOS installed
-
Try a clean boot -

Hey Pulsar. So ive done all this and it still didnt fix it. But i did decide and said screw it and went back and downloaded the 3rd most recent amd graphics driver and it works now. The thing that bugs me now is how did it get so bad when I last played on tuesday and by thursday i couldnt play anymore? didnt update anything at all besides back dating my graphics driver 3 updates and it works. If anyone else wants this ig revert back 1-2 graphics updates and its works just depends I suppose.

Hello friends!
Penguin knows there's sometimes a software conflict with AMD's integrated CPU graphics and Adrenalin software.
3: test suggestions, as this has worked on 2 similar cases from Discord Chat members.
1. Disable IGPU for AMD Ryzen CPU in System BIOS and try launch the game.
2. Use WHQL GPU driver from Microsoft, = less likely to fail during rendering_queue and handling cache.(Clearing cache will not solve this if the issue is inherently a software conflict making the regular GPU driver crash = game crash and shut down)
3. Test running the game without Adrenalin software all together, run clean WHQL Microsoft driver state.
According to Penguin understanding there's a error when trying to load Cache assets, the two suggested steps can be related to the described issue.
Situation is: It works to some and others not.. Penguin wishing it was possible to give a 100% guaranteed solution, but sadly not.
Penguin wishing you the best friend!😀

Many Thanks

Solved.Just changed setting AMD Software Adrenalin Edition "use global experience (HYPER-RX)" to "HYPER-RX". And nothing else. If you have AMD GPU try it.

Hello friend!
Penguin glad to see that worked for you friend! 😀 Penguin understand there's some AMD software conflict going on very often currently, maybe this helps the game team understand more fully what's going on! 😀

Many Thanks

I am having the same exact problem as both you guys. Click on the app, click on BF6, starts doing its thing with launching the game and Javelin anti cheat, then right back to the app. I have tried all the things suggested by the brilliant AI bot and still the same thing. The last 3 days this has been going on. By the looks of the complaints this is an EA problem, not a customer problem. Please fix this.

Well I used my AI token to analyse the Dump and it got me this
Battlefield 6 Crash Dump AnalysisFile: CrashDump_2026_06_26_22_14_53_410.mdmp
Crash date/time: June 26, 2026, 22:14:53
Size: ~1.7 MB (minidump)Root Cause
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005) — READ at null address
The game attempted to read memory at address 0x0000000000000018 (offset 24 bytes from NULL). This is a classic nullptr dereference — the code tried to access an object through a null pointer.
Where It Crashed
Module: amdxc64.dll Offset: +0x00125ACA Path: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\ u0201589.inf_amd64_b04b6e436fa20245\B026175\amdxc64.dll Thread: 22092
amdxc64.dll is the AMD DirectX 12 shader compiler (part of AMD Radeon Software). The crash occurred inside the AMD graphics driver, not directly in the game's own code.
Technical Summary
Field Value OS Windows 11 (Build 26200) CPU x64, 24 cores/threads GPU AMD (driver u0201589.inf, amdxc64.dll) Graphics API DirectX 12 Upscaling AMD FSR (FidelityFX) + Intel XeSS Frame Generation AMD FG DX12 Streamline sl.interposer / sl.reflex / sl.pcl Distribution Steam (steam_api64.dll) AMD Modules Loaded in the Process
- amdxc64.dll — DX12 shader compiler ← crash here
- amdxcffx64.dll — FidelityFX shader compiler
- amdihk64.dll — AMD IHK (in-kernel hooks)
- amdcc.dll — AMD Command Center
- atiadlxx.dll — AMD Display Library
- amd_ags_x64.dll — AMD GPU Services SDK
- amd_fidelityfx_*.dll — FSR upscaler + frame generation
Interpretation
The nullptr dereference inside amdxc64.dll+0x125ACA points to one of three scenarios:
- Outdated or buggy AMD driver for BF6 — most likely. The amdxc64.dll timestamp is recent but may not be the latest available.
- Compatibility issue between BF6 and the AMD driver — the game is brand new and a specific combination of FSR + Frame Generation + amdxc64 may be triggering the crash.
- Shader state corruption — the AMD shader compiler received invalid data (null pointer at offset +24).
Recommendations
- Update AMD drivers — go to amd.com/support and install the latest driver. Perform a clean install using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) before reinstalling.
- Disable AMD Frame Generation in BF6 — this feature involves multiple AMD modules simultaneously (amd_fidelityfx_framegeneration_dx12.dll + amdxcffx64.dll + amdxc64.dll) and is the most suspicious combination given the crash location.
- Test without FSR / XeSS — disable upscaling and frame generation in BF6's graphics settings to isolate whether the issue lies in that rendering pipeline.
- Verify game files on Steam — right-click the game → Properties → Local Files → "Verify integrity of game files".

Hello All
I see that my dump file post has been deleted. Fine by me.
To inform that I fixed the problem. - CrazyAppleSauce3 months agoRising Newcomer
I had a weird issue as well tried uninstalling the game and a few other things but what did it for me was uninstalling with revo and removing leftover files that revo uninstaller found and reinstalled and it tells me it had a connection error after clicking retry though it works...
