BF6 Crashes after installing Preview Update KB5124010

I have encountered the same problem with the game crashing at the "Connecting to Online Services" page upon launching. Error code from Windows Event Viewer is consistent with the other posters. The game was running fine up until yesterday when this crash unexpectedly occurred. I had reinstalled the game but still the same.

What's even worse is that EA Javelin AntiCheat provides no useful indication of what went wrong. The splash screen appears normally, the game successfully passes the AntiCheat check and actually enters the game, but then it closes to desktop later with no warning or error message.

I've already tried the usual troubleshooting steps, including reinstalling/repairing EA Javelin AntiCheat and verifying the game files, but the issue still occurs.

I checked Windows Event Viewer and found these errors around the time of the crash:

Event ID 7023 — Service Control Manager

The EAAntiCheatService service terminated with the following error:

Event ID 1000 — EA Javelin Anticheat

ExitType: 0xD9F6F9654DD8A675

I have the same issue.  It just started happening for me.  Checked event viewer and see Javelin crashes a minute after loading the game causing the game to exit to desktop immediately.

same happening to me right after re-starting the computer whilst the newest Win update KB5124010 was installed, right after that the game launches while in background and when I moveover the cursor to it and enter (clicking in) the game instantly crashes to the desktop without any error msg. I'm not using steam but launches via EA app, so it's not limited by steam but the game respective Javelin entirely. 
I'm gonna reroll the windows update now and hope everything return to back normal.

Hello insider ;) 26h2, uninstall the last update : KB5124010 :)

I'm using the EA app. Battlefield 6 and F1 2025 crash to the desktop after a minute. It's the Javelin Anti-Cheat's fault.

Thanks... I had the same issue. I had tried all of the usual things, but had no luck. I uninstalled "Preview Update (KB5124010) (26300.9539)", and viola, the game runs again.

i think since javelin is working on kernel level it needs some time for them to build it for a specific release.

Thats fair, just its the first time for a while a game hasn't worked for me on release preview and I don't typically try to use the beta, canary or experimental builds on real hardware or for any day to day use.

So this is actually a preview build of what will be released to non-insiders next month so hopefully will be resolved by then.

AFAIK Preview Updates are simply not supported. Like the rest of BF6 it is a hit and miss.
