BF6 crashing and causing PC to restart

My game ran good the first few days as well. No issues. Then I've been getting crashes to desktop with no error pop up. I haven't had any full PC crashes. Maybe a steam update or windows update causing an issue.

For a majority of people having this problem it has been ongoing since the beta. It ONLY happens on this game. That's it. I, as well as many others, can run any other game with zero issues, run hours of stress tests with zero issues, yet this game I can be in the menu screen for 10 minutes and it just shuts off the pc, I can be in a game for 10 minutes and it shuts off the pc, I can be in the queue for 3 minutes and it randomly shuts off the pc. We have tried every different recommendation, yes including updating bios, which I was already on the latest one and between the beta and full game release another bios update, updating chipset, updating ssd firmware, multiple graphics driver updates, using ddu to completely remove previous graphics updates, turning off integrated graphics in bios, turning off XMP for ram, limiting cpu power in bios, underclocking the graphics card, increasing fan curves, limiting cpu in user.cfg, repairing game files, repairing anti-cheat, allowing anti cheat in windows security, trying the game on the ea launcher instead of steam, turning graphics all the way down, limiting fps in game and nvidia control panel, and whatever other random fixes people have tried to come up with.

All of this with a fully custom built non "wallmart" pc. This problem has nothing to do with if you have a prebuilt or not, or if your bios is up to date. At this point I'm 99.9% sure it's the anti cheat. But it is hilarious that you can come in here, read through this thread, then think "yeah it's definitely because you all haven't updated your bios and also since I built my own pc let me make sure to tell them pre builts are also the problem."

AGAIN! THIS PROBLEM HAS NOTHING ZERO, NADA, NILCH TO DO WITH YOUR HARDWARE.

All of the above is placebo bs that EA leaves to us to figure out THEIR PROBLEM.

I have ryzen 5 3600 24gb 3200gb xmp and rx9060xt 16gb and the only problem i had and i had it for once was cause i have overclocked profile for my gpu and it cause it to crash the game cause of the power consumption and temperature after that i didnt had any other issue

cause i have rx9060xt 16gb ill tell u that...try download adrenaline 25.10.1 drivers that are optimised for battlefield 6 and check again...i had the problem with my oc profile once that the power consumption went crazy and crashed the game but after that it doesnt have any other problem

I own the game at Steam, and exact SAME issue started out of nowhere just 3 days ago. My pc just getting a black screen, and going auto reboot after a while playing Battlefield 6.

Issue it's with DirectX12 i guess, since minidumps indicates a driver, dxgkrnl.sys, as the culprit. My game run perfectly fine, since Oct 10th. Didn't installed anything, not even gpu drivers, since im with latest, Everything is up to date. Bios, Windows 11 updates, disk firmwares, etc.

Check & passed RAM tests (Memtest86+, Memtest64, WMD), FurMark/OCCT stress tests, and checked ALL my disks with Seatools. Everything perfectly fine, no errors at all. CPU/GPU temps never going over 55c-60c as well. So, some kind of game update, or, Windows 11 update, i suppose? And i see there's more people with exact same problem, at Steam discussions. So, can someone from DICE please check what's going on suddenly with game?

same for me  sometimes i can play 1 maybe 2 hours and then without error i am back at my desktop

Its is truly cracking me up to a point of leaving ae and going cod even through i will take ages to learn that game . 

A kernel panic / BSOD is not 100% guaranteed... For example lol:

You're right that the majority of the time it will display a BSOD, but its not always guaranteed and depends on whats going on. 

You also need to realize a portion of us either didn't have this during the beta or the issue wasn't occurring during both weeks of the beta. For example, for me the hard crash issue resolved itself beta week 2 and I played every single day that weekend with not a single crash. 

So if my hardware is faulty, it showed no issues for nearly 20 hours of game play for 3 days but now, if I play for 10 minutes it will hard crash? On top of that, I had the same exact crash behavior behavior during week 1. So my hardware fixed itself for a weekend and then unfixed itself?! If this isn't obvious to you that this a bug with bf6 or with drivers, especially with how many people are reporting the issue, I don't know what else to say. 

Yes, nothing. Disabled EXPO, reinstalled entire Windows 11, all updates, bios firmwares, etc, and only thing i installed it's Steam. And again, game just went Black Screen>pc auto reboots, just 10mins ago. Something really wrong with game itself, and DICE should fix it asap. And nope, i'm with AMD, so, it randomly affects everyone, no matter AMD/Intel/Nvidia.

Played just FINE for over 30h. Three days now, everytime playing BF6, i get a black screen and pc auto reboot. No minidumps even created. Instead, i found lot of dumps inside C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports.

Opened all of them via WinDbg, and all of them described same issues: dwm.exe + dxgkrnl.sys as system crash culprit.

Which is something related to DirectX, and starting hammering our systems exclusively and only when Battlefield 6 is running. Tested lot of other games 3 days now: Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1+V, 2042, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 3, Starfield, everything normal, no ctd, no black screens, no reboots, no bsod's. So, sended all my logs to a specific forum specialized at minidumps analysis, and indeed, Battlefield 6 it's the sole reason my entire system rebooting out of the blue.

There's 3 possible outcomes according to people there:

a) Secure Boot + EA Kernel Anticheat, conflict somehow.

b)  Latest Windows 11 Updates + EA Kernel Anticheat, conflict somehow.

c) Secure Boot + Latest Windows 11 Updates + EA Kernel Anticheat, conflict somehow.

Summary: Battlefield 6 it's the MAIN REASON of repeatable system crashes.

Everything is up to date here. Windows 11 updates, BIOS firmware, GPU/CPU drivers, hard disks firmware, heck, even nuked my entire Windows 11 installation and re-installed brand new copies twice.

Did Memtest86+ ram test, OCCT & FurMark stress tests, checked all my 6 disks with SeaTools, everything passed without a SINGLE ERROR.

Nothing helps. Battlefield 6 somehow keep crashing my computer. Not long ago, around 1h (or less), pc crashed again without minidumps. Tried play with -dx11, same. Lowered settings, same. Changed AMD gpu drivers, same. Game just going black screen and system auto reboot. Clearly something off with game's Kernel Anti-Cheat, or some other game file(s). There's absolute no way this is our fault. Playing every other games just fine. No ctd, no bsod, nothing. Just Battlefield 6, and again, everything mysteriously started three days ago out of nowhere, without have installed/update literally nothing at my system. As much as i like the game, this is a no go for me. I don't want to bring my entire system to it's knees, because EA/DICE screwed something, somewhere, and they are unable to fix it.
