BF6 Crashing To Desktop - No Errors - XMP/EXPO Issue

Battlefield 6 crashing straight to desktop with no errors or freezing just closing down. I have been attempting to fix this issue for weeks. Was only able to play 5-20 mins at a time before the game crashed.

I have:
- Nvidia drivers updated/tested rolling back to several different driver releases.
- Bios updated.
- Changed all in game settings, testing through low/off to Ultra/Overkill systematically.
- Added Steam launch exceptions.
- Disabled steam/Nvidia overlays.
- Tested GPU at stock speed, overclocked and undervolted, combinations of all.
- Redownloaded and verified game files.

Plus numerous other things tested which I have likely forgotten. The ONLY thing which has worked, is disabling my ram OC (XMP/EXPO) in BIOS... yep your game has a memory/leak issue which is now forcing me to run my PC sub optimally to play the game.

I am creating this report to ensure you are aware, as thousands of people have this same issue. It needs to be fixed along with the VRAM leak ASAP!

When their community managers decide to do their 1 hour of work per week, they will mark this as "resolved for visibility" then you will never hear from them again.

  • i have the same issue have gone through all community fixes uploaded crash dumps and tried to takle them with AI as well for the games fukd right now on launch it ran no issues 3 months no problem than they removed frame gen for the 30 series nvidia cards crashed ever since i have requested a refund from steam due to a product i paid for that does not function as intended if at all get in game run around hit thaT 2 MIN MARK FREZZE DESKTOP NO ERROR....

whats worse is dice and EA no this is a problem but do not care as there is no response from them on the matter

When browsing the forums  i see loads and loads of people having problems with the game, so i really  doubt its a hardware problem, just doesnt make sence that they all have hw issues.  And its just Bf6, they have problem with, all seems to be able to play any other game but this one.

  • I had the exact same issue, and this turned out to be a faulty RAM package. OS and regular apps worked fine with EXPO, but BF6 crashed after 2-6 minutes. I ended up changing RAM sticks to another vendor, and it works excellent with EXPO on 6000

It looks like BF6 pushes RAM really hard, and this uncovers issues with it. So I am pretty confident it's a hardware issue, and the game is perfectly fine.

I don't think I'll open it again until they fix the problem.

I will not disable it and ruin my fps, developers must fix this. Every other game runs perfect but this **bleep** crashing without any error...
