Bf6 Hard Crash PC

Issue:

Battlefield 6 triggers a full system shutdown after a few minutes (no BSOD; hard power off). Happens in both DX11 and DX12. Windows Event Viewer shows “Kernel-Power 41”. Other games (Overwatch 2, Hell Let Loose) are stable for hours.

System specs:

Ryzen 9 5950X / Gigabyte B550M DS3H / 32 GB DDR4-2400 / Radeon RX 9070 XT / Corsair RM850e / Samsung 860 EVO 1 TB / Windows 11 Pro build 26100 / LG 27GR95QE-B 240 Hz.

Actions tried:

– Clean driver installs via DDU; tested AMD Adrenalin 25.10.1 (Battlefield 6 Preview) and 25.9.1 WHQL (Factory Reset).

– Disabled PBO, XMP, C-States; Power Supply Idle Control = Typical Current Idle.

– Adrenalin: Power Limit −20%, GPU undervolt −150 mV (~1000–1025 mV), FPS cap 165 (Chill). HAGS off. TdrDelay=8.

– OCCT CPU/GPU/PSU tests stable; temps normal; direct wall outlet; GPU re-seated and cabling checked.

Result: Only Battlefield 6 causes shutdown (3–8 minutes). Please advise and confirm if this is a known issue and if a fix is in progress.

i set my ram to default from bios and it actually solved my problem. (from 3200mhz to 2400mhz). For me it only happened in bf6, a few days later, started to happen even in desktop. I still dont know if i have a hardware problem or it's the game itself.

My RAM is already set to 2400 MHz. This isn’t a hardware issue, it’s a problem with EA AntiCheat.

Same here, I disabled XMP as mentioned in the initial post, therefore my RAM is at default speed. That was not the issue.

i wonder if EA is working on any solution for those crashes?

  • I am having same problem.

    4070Ti/Ryzen 9 5950x/32 gb ram ddr4/ 4 tb ssd

I have tried a whole list of fixes to try and get it running but still nothing. Duringthe beta lowering my ram usage to 2400 fixed the issue but for this actual game nothing

  • I might have managed to fix the problem — since I did this, I haven’t had any crashes with FC26. I can’t guarantee it’ll work for BF6 as well, but you can give it a try.

Add the EA, EA Games, and Electronic Arts folders to your antivirus exclusions.

Right-click the EA App icon, select Properties → Compatibility, then check:

“Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8”

    “Disable fullscreen optimizations”

“Run this program as an administrator”

Do the same for the BF6 executable.

Restart your PC and try launching the game.

Again, this isn’t a permanent fix and I can’t guarantee it’ll work for everyone — but for now, it’s been working for me after several days of issues.

  • Hi, I have the same motherboard  Gigabyte B550M DS3H rev 1.3
    Also Ryzen 7 5900x + RTX 5070 (also tried RTX 4060)
    DDR 4 3200mhz 16gb
Its a hard crash on the begining of the game, I was able to get into gameplay for some minutes , but its simple not happening any more, it crashes right after loading shaders

  • I'm having the same issue and its especially frustrating because I was able to play for 20 hours without problems.

Then a few days ago I started hard crashing, first in game then right upon startup before even compiling shaders. (The pre-rendered video wouldn't even load it would be all black on the loading screen).

I tried so many 'fixes', reinstalled game and drivers, system settings. What finally fixed it was uninstalling HD textures... but that lasted a day or two... I could play a few games fine... until the last patch which maybe broke it again?

It's ridiculous that this is literally unplayable.
