I've noticed the issues for me start happening when buildings get demolished in-game. When there is a lot of debris in the game, lag starts to appear for the CPU. It seems like CPU's with CCX architecture are having serious issues. It probably has to do with not offloading all of the objects that get created due to destruction of buildings among other destructables and the like being offloaded into the CCD. I believe this might be something EU should test with CCX architecture, and figure out a solution for it.

Destruction causes load even on high end intel cpus. It's why the new york maps are generally considered the most cpu intensive.
