BF6 Low latency, Low FPS, Slow Motion

I have a good computer and good wifi, so I will not be attaching them.

Hey guys, I've had BF6 since season 1, and I played it with no problem at high graphics. I never had issues with lag or anything. Ever since Season 3 dropped, on EVERY MAP I have low latency, low fps, and the game plays in slow motion. I have done everything under the sun to fix it, from lowering my graphics and downloading new drivers to doing hard restarts on my computer and messing with my GPU. I would really appreciate help because I cannot play the game with this lag.

  • Sorry to hear that you haven’t been able to play properly since Season 3, even after already trying multiple troubleshooting steps.

Could you please share a DxDiag report when you have a chance? That may help others in the community better understand your system setup and spot anything that could be related.

In the meantime, the community has shared several common workarounds that may be worth checking or trying:

    1. Check whether any in-game settings were reset after the update, including DLSS, Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex, V-Sync, and FPS limits.
    2. Verify the integrity of your game files
    3. Close other background applications. Disable overlays, monitoring tools, and recording software, such as Steam, EA app, Discord, NVIDIA or AMD overlay, RTSS, and MSI Afterburner
    4. Delete C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache and GLCache folders
    5. Delete C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Battlefield 6\cache
Clear DirectX Shader Cache via Windows Disk Cleanup
      Delete C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 6 folder
    6. Repair or reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
    7. Use DDU to fully remove your current graphics driver, then reinstall the latest driver
    8. Try uninstalling the HD texture packs if you have them installed
    9. Disable the Windows Game Bar

Please also let us know which of these you have already tried. Thanks.

  • Hi, it’s been a while since I last heard back from you. Just wanted to check whether the issue has been resolved on your side.

  • As I haven’t heard back from you in some time, I’m hoping that means this issue is no longer troubling you. If you have any other questions or would like to share anything, I’d be glad to see you around again.
