BF6 Not Launching
Unfortunately today BF6 decided to not want to launch anymore, if launched off of BF6 desktop icon it will prompt run as admin then nothing, if launched through EA app it just sits at launching game indefinitely.
Steps taken
- Repaired game
- Reinstalled anticheat
- Reinstalled game
- Clean install of graphics driver
- Cleared cache on EA app
- Ensured smooth motion in nvidia app is off
- Went through EA support and found nothing
When I requested refund they let me know since I bought it through epic they wouldnt be able to and I would need to contact Epic. When I individually launched the epic app it then proceeded to tell me my epic app was out of date. Forced the update and that is what finally fixed the issue and now the game launches correctly.
Crazy to me that while trying to start the game it doesnt force the epic app open and prompt the user the epic launcher needs to be updated before launching.
