BF6 on Steam can't launch. Opens black screen then crashes

I launch the game from steam and it opens a black window and then crashes. Sometimes there is an event in Windows Event Viewer about javelin anti-cheat having a problem, sometimes there is not. 4080...

It's clear there are many other people with the problem of bf6 crashing when launching on Steam and there are many different causes. None of them have worked for me so far. I'll keep this thread updated as I find solutions in hopes that it both gets attention from EA and helps others who are stuck like me.
