I am absolutely fed up with Ranked matchmaking.
I am Diamond 1, and I queue up for Ranked Quads. My first match looks like this: I get matched with Rookie 1, Rookie 1, and Bronze 1 players.
The next match? Rookie 1, Bronze 1, and Bronze 1 again. And to make matters worse, in my second game I get killed by a team with Master-ranked players.
I won't even get started on how many points you lose in these situations. You start at -60 RP and are expected to play with teammates who barely know what they're doing, let alone how to work together as a team. How is anyone supposed to climb the ranks under these conditions?
I get frustrated and quit the game – a game I've been playing since the very first beta last year, a game I genuinely used to enjoy.
After taking a few hours' break, I decide to give it another chance. I launch the game again, and suddenly the evening lobbies are filled with players of much more appropriate ranks. So apparently, the matchmaking system actually CAN work!
But then, right after jumping out of the plane, we realize there are only three of us on the team from the very beginning of the match. Great! And of course, we still receive the full RP penalty.
What has been happening in this game across all its seasons is an absolute disaster.
I've experienced pretty much every bug imaginable – lighting issues, falling through the map, weapon aiming bugs where the sights simply don't appear, and countless other problems. I've tried to put up with all of it somehow.
But the matchmaking? This problem has been going on for FIVE SEASONS, and nothing seems to change.
I'm sorry, but the scenario I've just described isn't some rare exception. This is what I keep experiencing over and over again.
This isn't what I paid for, is it?
Honestly, I'm not surprised that Battlefield 6 has lost so many players from its community despite the massive hype surrounding its launch. And I'm starting to feel like I might soon become one of them.
It's a real shame because I genuinely enjoyed this game. But everyone has their limits, and today I've finally reached mine.
DICE, please start addressing Ranked matchmaking once and for all. Players who want to compete and climb the ranks deserve a fair and balanced experience.
