Cannot join same server with wife under same internet

When i attempt to join BF6 server's with my wife, it will allow one of us one and kick the other out. We have separate steam accounts, separate computers but the same internet.... This was an issue in the beta and in BF2042. It kicks us out in 9/10 games it seems. I don't want to have to do any port forwarding and risk myself to get viruses etc. Any advice or tips on fixing this. Or maybe the Devs can fix this....

Same issue here. Incredibly frustrating. After some digging this issue has been going on for a while and EA refuses to deal with it. None of the solutions they've given on any thread I've seen work.

wish I had good new but I'm having the same issue with trying to play with my brother

  • What Internet do you guys have? A year ago we got AT&T fiber and the default gateway they gave us made the nat show as "restricted" in my Xbox network info. Ultimately, I had to set up ip passthrough on my att gateway, turn off its own wifi, and get a regular wifi router where upnp worked automatically and then my nat on my Xbox wasn't shown as "restricted" any more. This "restricted" nat thing was never an issue when I had Xfinity, but now that everything is working fine, I'm happy with AT&T.

This was an issue in previous Battlefield iterations going as far back as BF4 to my knowledge and it's still here. I have this issue with two computers attempting to play in the same party with UPnP enabled on our home router, same outcome with UPnP disabled. Setting static IPs also does not fix the issue.

The only solution I can think of would be to force a static set of ports to each computer but I have no idea how the game would react. Also, the set of ports used by the game has not been announced at this time.

Finally, I could pay for a VPN to mask one of our computers as originating somewhere else, but that just feels silly.

I am having the same issue with my brother. Just wrote, "Bought myself and my brother who both live in the same house copies of BF6 through Steam. When we try to party together and join a match at the same time, with friends too, one of us is always left in the menus while the other joins the map. He uses WiFi. I use Ethernet. When he uses a VPN, we are able to play together, but I experience a ton of lag. UPnP is enabled."
