CE-107891-6

Can anyone shed some light to me about what this code means? I'm on ps5 and battlefield seems to be completely locked down for a lot of people. WTF is happening here? I actually noticed this two weeks ago and hoped it would just fix it self considering most issues do, for the most part. I paid for a game and now can't play it because of a dlc? Really?

    That sucks, man.

PS5 error code CE-107891-6 indicates that content, such as a game or update, is not installing or loading properly, often due to file corruption or external drive issues. The primary solution is to delete the problematic game or app, restart the console, and then redownload it directly from the PlayStation Store.

Have you tried deleting and re installing yet?

  • I don't have a PS5, so I chatted with Gemini and ChatGPT about the error code. They both knew the error code and gave similar answers.

An error "CE-107891-6" on PS5, it usually means the game or update didn’t install properly. This often happens due to an interrupted download, power loss, corrupted data, or issues copying from external storage.

    1. Delete and Reinstall the Game (This should fix it in most cases. If not, please proceed to step 2.)

        • Go to Home Screen
        • Highlight the game
        • Press Options → Delete
        • Reinstall it from Library

    2. Fully Power Cycle the PS5

        • Turn the console completely off (not Rest Mode)
        • Wait 1–2 minutes
        • Turn it back on

    3. Check for System Software Updates

        • Settings → System → System Software → Update

    4. Rebuild Database (if it still happens)

        • Turn off the PS5
        • Hold the power button until you hear the second beep
        • Connect controller via USB
        • Choose “Rebuild Database”

This won’t delete your games — it just cleans up system data. If the issue started after moving a game from an external drive, try reinstalling it directly to the internal SSD instead.

In most cases, a clean reinstall resolves CE-107891-6.
