I've completed some challenges, but they're not unlocking the items, and these branches are locked. For example, I've completed Assault 1, but it won't let me select the beacon, so I can't advance to Assault 2.

I am in the same situation like you.. just see this :(
It's frustrating because the Assault class is basically useless to me; the only thing that makes it good is the beacon. I hope they fix it soon because it seems to be happening to other people as well, and with different challenges.
