Try adding
99.83.166.42 accounts.grpc.ea.com
to your hosts file (C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts), i.e. in an elevated powershell prompt (admin prompt with Start Key + X then A)

Add-Content C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts "99.83.166.42 accounts.grpc.ea.com"There's a bug where the AWS Global Accelerator (15.192.149.64) responds instead of your local auth server (cloudfront IP mentioned above for in the UK) and it fails your auth and there's no retry.
Adding this host entry is the server that responded successfully when I got lucky connecting (ethernet seemed to help, but running over powerline didn't nor mesh).
I was getting almost continuous Connection Failed.
