Constantly disconnectind due to "inactivity" mid game or when joining

I've had this issue in the past but it seemed to have been fixed in an earlier patch. I am constantly being disconnected from the the game when I am in the middle of playing due to "inactivity". I'm guessing the devs don't actually know what that word means. Today it has started happening when I try to join a server, I can get as far as the screen where I see myself and my three other squad members prior to joining the match then I get booted for inactivity. I am curious what activity the game expects of me when I am loading a level.

Just to be clear I am not AFK when this happens, I'll be in the middle of a firefight and suddenly I'm booted.

I have already tried lowering power limits on my CPU, and I've tried playing after freshly restarting my PC. Unnecessary startup programs have been disabled, it's literally just BF6, steam, and windows Defender running and nothing else. I have a wired connection to a gigabit internet connection. I have reset my router twice now. 

Is there any other steps I can take or am I at the mercy of just waiting for EA to fix the game, again?
