PS5: ADS sudden jerking when shooting target

Hello everyone,

I have seen this issue reported elsewhere and that it’s actually old. I recently bought the game and never had this issue until today.

It only occurs when I am shooting on target, more often than not, when I’m ADS. It will instantly **bleep** a short distance to the left when I’m not even touching the right stick.
I have played around with every conceivable setting and reset it to default. I also reinstalled the game and confirm it happens on and offline.

I cannot seem to find a fix for this or if EA is addressing it. The game is unplayable. Hoping EA can shed some light on this.

    Posting this here too:

Someone else posted this in another thread but this bug and its bypass is reproducible.  I really hope they are working on a fix because this is beyond unacceptable.

Here is how you can test it.  Move the mouse left and right while pushing either A and D or 1,2 and 3.  This will cause the really bad frame skipping and stutter.

Now do it again but hold down the Alt key at the same time.  The stutter goes away completely.  I have no idea why this works but it does. I probably did this 20 times in a game at spawn and a safe captured flag to test it out.  Anyone looking at my character probably thought it was having a stroke.

Post back in this thread if you can reproduce both the stutter and not stutter back to back. I may record it and upload to YouTube for reference.

I play on PS5 but it’s reproducible for sure.
here is a YT link. Two clips back to back. One is ADS and another is right after strafing not-ADS’d.

this occurred out of no where. Everything was fine after the last patch until the other day.

I reset all the configurations to my controller set up back to default which seemed to help. However, this didn’t work before after two clean reinstalls and after rebuilding the system + deleting cache. It seemed to just sort itself out. Having the snap adjustment setting set to off seemed to have caused some problems. Though others reported no change in the behaviour when they set this to on or off.

    weird bug.
