Crash on boot up after July 21st update

Using EA app, after I hit play the AntiCheat splash comes up and verifies and the game begins to start up but crashes before getting to any of the intro sequences. Just a black, windowed screen that crashes before even trying anything. I have tried repairing the game files, cache clearing and even a full reinstall but to no avail. Crashing happened before and after updating AMD drivers.
