Verifying game files on steam fixed the issue.
I am also having this issue. Just started happening today.
Community ManagerIf you play via EA app, try clicking into the game tile and then choose Manage and then Repair.
If you are on Steam, check if Verifying Files helps with this: Verify Steam Files
Another player was able to resolve this in the past with a full game reinstall, so that is available as something of a last resort: LINK
