DICE cheating FPS by using Frame Gen when Reflex or a frame-cap is enabled?
This seems to be an issue since launch and there hasn't been a peep from the devs at all about it
Whenever I enable Nvidia Reflex or use a frame cap, whether its in-game or through the Nvidia App, frame gen will randomly turn off and on whenever FPS takes a bit of a dip. Seems like the game is trying to cheat to raise FPS closer to my monitor's refresh rate. I could feel mouse input was jittery and the game didn't feel as smooth as the beta so I enabled Steam overlay to check FPS. The FPS tag would change to say FG quite a lot. That confirmed my suspicions. When I disable Reflex or the frame cap the game feels smoother, more responsive, and the FG tag doesn't show up anymore. Literally no other game with Reflex has done this for me before. Also I believe it is using FSR FG because when I tried DLSS FG by itself the overlay would say DLSS. So the poor frame pacing and jittery-ness made sense. There have been a couple other posts here and on Steam Community for BF6, yet there have been absolutely no fixes. Why?
