I have the same problem. Having latest nvidia drivers. 

I found the answer to this question. All that's left is to check if it works. You need to uninstall the driver using DDU and install the driver from the Nvidia website.

This is usually a RAM instability(AMD Expo or XMP) or a faulty undervolting CPU/Overclock in bios. you guys neeed to check in windows event viewer where the critical error comes from. 

The problem was still in overclocking. I disabled GPU overclocking from Nvidia, removed the CPU undervolting, and enabled the integrated overclocking function on the motherboard. I removed the game, deleted the drivers using DDU, and installed new ones by downloading the latest version from the official Nvidia website (without installing the Nvidia app). download the game. absolutely none of that worked for me, I've been playing since the beta and the game came out but for two days now I've been getting the **bleep** error and I'm really pissed off for having paid for it, my computer isn't the problem but the game since I don't have the problem with any other game and the only solution that works for me is every time I turn on my PC I reinstall the DRIVERS it's the only thing that works for me and I can't be like this forever

This happens... not often. 100% of the times it happend, I was on the menus, not actually playing.

I'm also frustrated by this issue. I suspect it's an IME-related problem. I suppose that the top left corner of your keyboard is "~", and I have it disabled this key in-game config so console is not shown. However, on Windows, it's changing input method. goes into Japanese input mode, which tries to convert words when I try to jump over something (yeah, pushing space key is converting another words - at least on Japanese Windows version of the OS-. Google JP IME uses DirectX?!?!?! )
I think this issue has been around for a long time, but I guess the developers just don't understand what an IME is.
