DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED DirectX Error during multiplayer

  • CPU: AMD R5 9500F (PBO OFF, passed AIDA64 stress CPU+FPU test)
  • OS Version: Windows 11 25H2
  • GPU: AMD RX 9060 XT 16GB (Newly purchased XFX Swift RX 9060 XT Triple Fan OC 16 GB, passed FurMark test)
  • GPU Driver: 25.11.1 (All default setting, no overclock)
  • RAM: 12GB*2 DDR5 5600 MT/s (With EXPO, base frequency 4800 MT/s)

During multiplayer matches, the game randomly (from 20 minutes to 1 hour or longer) freezes, followed by a black screen and a crash, with a DirectX Error pop-up appearing. Simultaneously, the AMD Bug Report Tool indicates a driver timeout was detected.

  • **bleep** brother, I also have the same problem, this has puzzled me for a long time, how the official has not solved, EA in the end what ah

  • I believe the problem is using Windows 11. My technician told me that Windows 11 is garbage, especially for high end gaming, and just to stick with Windows 10. I went back to Windows 10 with a clean swipe, redownloaded everything, made sure my VRAM was within the limit and had a flawless round of Breakthrough, no screen tears, no overclocking, no packet loss, no frame rate drops, and especially no crashing to desktop after 5 minutes of in-game playtime. I hope this helps.

CosmosIsCrazy try disabling EXPO memory overclocking and see if the DirectX error stops.

I checked the supported memory list for Colorful B850M-MEOW WIFI7. Gloway International VGM5UA56C4 memory isn't on the supported memory list.

It seems to work, the game hasn't crashed in three hours, but I'm still disappointed with this "fix" method.

CosmosIsCrazy it's important to purchase memory from the motherboard's supported memory list. All the memory on that list has been tested and tuned by Colorful for that motherboard.

Don't feel bad. I learned about QVL memory list the hard way also.
