The most viewed thread on this forum has a 3 month old "pinned for visibility" solution and EA reps ignore it despite literally being tagged in comments on it.

Don't hold out hope for a resolution.

The cause is the game's Frostbite engine calling an FSR2 module that isn't present, even when FSR is turned off. If you check your crash logs with WinDbg I would literally bet everything I have that you will see "ffxFsr2ResourceIsNull".
