Hi all,
I want to share what worked for me in case there are some people with same context (and so possibly the same problem) as me.
DISCLAIMER: I am not offering a global solution to the problem, nor am I saying that the problem is "fixed". It is absurd that so many players are facing technical difficulties with a AAA game. I really hope EA fixes the problem or offers better guidelines on how to improve it. The help I experienced when I opened a thread was a waste of time at best.
Context:
- Bought a new pc: AMD Ryzen 5 7600x, RTX 5070 VENTUS 2X OC, ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200MT/s CL40 16GB RAM
- Built it myself and installed Windows 11 without internet, installed all drivers from USB, then connected to internet and let Windows Updates run.
- Installed BF6 and experienced crashes identical to OP, random PC restarts, even BSoD. Crashes occurred about every 15 min of gameplay (so, unplayable)
- Tried all kinds of things (reinstalling drivers, bf6, verifying game files, etc etc etc)
What fixed the problem for me:
- Reset BIOS to default settings
- Clean reinstalled Windows 11 from USB
- Connected to internet and allowed Windows Updates to fully complete. THEN installed all recent drivers.
- Turn off all overlays (steam, discord, EA, etc)
What I think was the problem:
- Installing the most recent drivers before allowing Windows Updates to complete causes certain driver functionality to not properly be implemented. Result is driver crashes when BF6 attempts to use this functionality.
Hope this helps someone. If not, best of luck.
