EA Javelin Anticheat 17 1060 error

Launching through: Steam (not the EA app)
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K at 3.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Super
Windows: Windows 10 22H2, build 19045.6466

The game crashes immediately on launch. If I verify game files through Steam and try again, I get: "EA Javelin Anticheat encountered an error. Please restart your PC." (17)(1060).

Standard troubleshooting already completed:

  1. Windows and GPU drivers fully up to date - yes
  2. Repaired/verified game files through Steam - yes
  3. Disabled "Run as administrator" on Battlefield 6, EA AntiCheat, Steam, and the EA app, tested normally - yes
  4. Checked Windows Reliability Monitor immediately after a crash - Battlefield 6 doesn't appear there at all

Beyond that, I've also confirmed TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, and Memory Integrity are all active, ruled out antivirus interference (Kaspersky - checked quarantine and logs directly, nothing flagged), and done multiple full clean reinstalls of the EA App, AntiCheat, and the game itself.

What I believe is actually happening: EAAntiCheatService self-deletes on every launch attempt (shows as "marked for deletion" in services.msc immediately after). Manually starting it reaches START_PENDING with a real PID before dying with Windows Error 87 ("the parameter is incorrect").

I also identified that the AntiCheat installer registers the service to the default C:\Program Files\EA\AC\ path even though my Battlefield 6 install is on a different Steam library drive. Manually correcting the registry ImagePath (or using a directory junction) to point at my actual install location fixed it temporarily, and the game ran fine for a period. It broke again with the identical (17)(1060) error after the latest AntiCheat update reset the registration back to the default path.
