Can confirm that update did not fix this problem. I'm a bit confused now, since I'm seeing CMs talking in much smaller threads than this one and helping people, meanwhile this thread is seemingly being ignored. I tried to make a bug report and reach out, but not only did the submit button not work (had to switch to edge for it to work), but the case didn't get created anyway.
As such, I'm resorting to being slightly obnoxious and will tag a CM who seems to have been very helpful in addressing smaller threads EA_Pulsar to see if they'd be so kind as to help us. Judging by the number of views on videos claiming to know how to fix this, there are thousands of people unable to play the game at all.
As a summary of what I've tried:
- Rebooting my PC
- Reinstalling BF6
- Reinstalling Javelin
- Running BF6 as admin
- Running Javelin as admin
- Changing my DNS to Google/Cloudflare DNS
- Changing my DNS to fetch from DHCP
- Using a hotspot
- Using Wifi
- Using a wired ethernet connection
- Using a VPN to the US
- Using a VPN to Poland
- Not using a VPN
- Not having the VPN running when playing BF6
- Basically all ipconfig and netsh commands I could find that restart things
- Playing only in the firing range
- Enabling the network tab in BF6 to see if I see anything strange
- Running BF6 with various launch parameters
- Updating drivers
- Downgrading drivers
- Having EA App running while I play (Steam version)
- Not having the EA app running while I play
- Literally just sitting in the game menu and not doing anything at all
None of these have helped in any way, no matter what, the game throws the Unknown Error after roughly 5 minutes, give or take 30 seconds, and after reconnecting, throws it about every 10-30 seconds. Its been a week since launch and I've not been able to play a single match after spending what could be a month of food if I was being frugal on it.
