Error packets and latency

When connected to the server, it constantly writes me a latency and image capture error. When playing, I have incredible lags.when we shoot at the enemy, I have a hot myself and only after about 5 sec. I can't play it, it's happening to me after the last update. What should I do about it ???

Having the same issue since last update on Tuesday 11/11 and still not resolved with today's update. Rubberbanding all over the place with ping jumping from 20's to mid 100's and all over the place. Not my network, my latency is mid to low 20's with 500mbps download and 10 upload.

How the hell do we get dev's attentions on this useless forum? There is no direct email for customer support or anything on here. Maybe leaving a nasty review on Steam would finally get some type of response and refund request. Game was great until a week ago and I've never experienced "unplayable" before this happened.

    Sick of this bs.

  • D_R_A_K_E136 the only way to track down ping and packet loss issues is to run a traceroute to the game server.

This is more difficult on consoles because in order to find the game server IP address. You need to connect the console to a wifi hotspot running on a PC.

I am on PC and having this issue for a week.

what is a trace route and how would one do that? And how is that going to help resolve the issue?

Fidayi_Kaizer a traceroute shows the path a network packet takes through the internet from your computer to the game server.

Network packets travel through routers. A traceroute shows all the routers along the path, what your ping is to each router, and how much packet loss is at each router.

Hop 1 in a traceroute is your home router. The last hop is the game server. All the hops in-between are the routers the packet travels through.

With that said, interpreting packet loss in a traceroute isn't straight forward and can be misleading. Usually packet loss at the lowest number hop will cause packet loss for all the higher number hops.

Hops that show 100% packet loss don't necessarily mean that router is actually dropping packets. It might simply be configures to not respond to ICMP ping requests.

To answer the second part of your question about how a traceroute might help resolve the issue. There's a good chance the traceroute will show where the packet loss and/or high ping is occuring. Which could be at the home router, ISP, or inside the game server data center network.

  • Well, I play on ps5 so it's more difficult, but I haven't had such problems until now, only after the update it started to cause me. The best thing about it is not that when I played yesterday I was kicked out of the server for being inactive and I was playing... And when I subsequently connected back to my teammates on the server, since then I have had problems with lantencia and packeting, i.e. taking images
