Game Crash, No Error, Straight to Desktop

HI, Recently I have been experiencing a very annoying crashing issue on PC. The game will run for 5 mins or more then crash to desktop with no error message.

I have attempted multiple troubleshooting advice from other players experiencing similar issues.

This includes:

  • Opening the program files/Steam/steamapps/common/BF6
    • Opening EAAntiCheat.Installer/ BF6 / Uninstall All / Repair Files
    • This has worked for me and allowed me to play the game as usual
    • Until yesterday this method is no longer working, the game still crashes without error
  • Turning off Steam and Discord Overlays
  • Disabled Hardware-Accelerated GPU scheduling in Windows

Specs:

Processor AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor (4.70 GHz)

Installed RAM 64.0 GB (63.1 GB usable)

Graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti (8 GB)

AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (486 MB)

Storage 1.51 TB of 1.82 TB used

System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

  • Hello!
I have the same issue on my system too. The problem appeared after season 3 update.
The game crashes to desktop without an error message midgame after the first launch. On the second launch of the game the crash does not occur. I did not have this problem on my system before season 3 update.

    My specs:
    11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11600KF @ 3.90GHz (3.91 GHz)
    32 GB DDR4 RAM
GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti GAMING OC GDDR6X
    WIN 11.

I opened a discussion on my problem 4 days ago, but got zero answers so far. I wish you better luck.

  • Hi, I’m playing through the EA platform, so this is not a Steam-related issue.

Since the AMD Adrenalin driver update to version 26.6.2, I haven’t been able to launch the game. Today I finally had some time to play, so I updated to the latest driver (26.6.4), thinking the driver was the issue but unfortunately I’m still experiencing the exact same problem reported here.

When I press “Play” in the EA launcher, a small window appears saying that Javelin is starting and that the configuration is being loaded. After about 2 seconds, that window disappears, the game briefly opens, and I see a small black window in the top-right corner (so I assume it’s loading)… then suddenly everything closes with no error message at all.

I already have around 300 hours played, and I have UEFI and Secure Boot enabled. I really don’t think BIOS settings are the problem because 4 weeks ago everything worked perfectly with an older AMD driver (25.9....) version and an older game build. So it seems like something introduced in a recent update (driver or game side) is causing this.

    Please help me.

    My specs:

    • CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
    • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24GB)
    • RAM: G.Skill 32GB DDR5
    • Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
