Game Unplayable – Kicked for Inactivity, EA App & PC Lose Connection

Hello,

I don’t know what to do anymore, so I’m turning to the forum for help.
I bought BF6 last weekend and was able to play without any problems the first evening. Then, the next day, I played for about an hour with no issues. I was on Discord with a friend, and suddenly the game started acting up—my Discord cut out, then I got disconnected from the match with a message saying I was kicked for inactivity (I've attached screenshots).

So, I looked online, checked the forums, etc. I uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA App and BF6. I followed EA remote support's “advice” not to play over Wi-Fi. I don’t use a VPN and I don’t have any of the usual things that cause problems. Still, no fix.
EA has provided zero support—all their “contact us” buttons just redirect to the forum (which is honestly shameful).

I tried digging into my Wi-Fi settings, DNS, and more, but nothing works. I keep getting the same error message, the EA App disconnects, and my whole PC loses connection—it even kicks me off Discord.

For the record, I don’t have this problem with any other games. I have a 1350 Mbps connection, and my PC is well above the recommended specs for BF6.

At this point, I just don’t know what else to try. I can’t even get a refund to buy the game on Steam because I’ve passed the refund window—and since EA has no real customer support, I’m completely stuck.

Please help!

  • As of 10/27/25 I’m STILL getting kicked for “inactivity” despite running around, getting kills, repairing vehicles, reviving, etc. I’m trying to comment on every post about this because it’s making the game unplayable for me and my girlfriend, which really sucks because it’s the best battlefield ever made. Have you found a fix for this?

  • Please try this fix. I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but let me know if it does. I haven't done enough testing, but I'm confident to say I have fixed the "issue" on my PC. I would get kicked non-stop since the game's release to the point where it was unplayable. I have tried every solution in the book to fix the problem (even factory resetting my PC). Every time I got kicked for inactivity, I would look at the event viewer log to see an "ethernet disconnected" warning. So, what fixed my issue was to replace every flat CAT7 ethernet cable I was using with round gold rated inland CAT6 cables. I went from disconnecting multiple times a day to not at all now.

TLDR; Replaced flat CAT7 ethernet cables with round CAT6 ethernet cables.
